Sign up to learn more about the Faith Climate Justice Voter Campaign and what Congregation Captains do
This year Interfaith Power & Light is working to increase faith voter turnout in elections and inspire them to vote their values of climate justice. Are you interested in the Campaign but want to meet our campaign manager and ask questions before you commit to becoming a Congregation Captain? Sign up below to join our next Zoom info session on August 23 from 7:00-7:30pm ET.
What role do Captains play? As a Congregation Captain, you will be a lead for your congregation or faith community with the Faith Climate Justice Voter Campaign. You will serve as a liaison between IPL and your congregation, bringing opportunities to your faith community on how it can engage in a nonpartisan way to reach out to faith voters in 2022. IPL will share a toolkit for ways your congregation can contribute to the campaign, campaign updates, and opportunities to join trainings and briefings with other Congregation Captains.
Examples of ways your congregation could contribute to the campaign include: Registering voters, making sure your community is ready to vote (their registration is up to date) and has the current information on how to vote, sharing our nonpartisan voter reflection guide, coordinating with other congregations in your community to reach voters, writing letters to voters, and joining IPL in reaching out to faith voters in key states via phone or text.
