Urge Secretary Vilsack to support small farmers to solve the climate crisis
Dear Secretary Vilsack:
I applaud your vision to create new opportunities for all farmers, especially new, indigenous, and farmers of color.
While agribusiness will be important, I ask you to publicly commit to prioritizing USDA resources for small to medium farmers and ranchers directly - especially those of color - to support their efforts to innovate To and act quickly to manage our land to solve the climate crisis.
By supporting them in transitioning to regenerative agriculture and renewable energy, we will heal the planet sooner AND address food security more equitably.
As a fellow person of faith and conscience I know you also believe it is our responsibility to preserve this earth for the sake of present and future generations.
